Kembang Sepatu
Kembang Sepatu or Shoes Flower (Hibiscus rosa-sinensis L.) is one of beautiful tropical flowers. I don’t know why it called Shoes Flower, maybe because the fact that in India, they use the flower to polish shoes. In Indonesia, from what I’ve heard, this flower can also be used as medicine.
Here in Malaysia, we call it bunga raya
And it it is our national flower.

In the Dominican Republic it is called the Blood of Crist with the way the middle just seems to drip.
In the Philippines, we call it GUMAMELA. We use it to make soap bubbles. We crush the flowers and leaves of Gumamela and then mix it with detergent. Then VOILA! we have our own bubble mixture. We use the papaya stalk to blow bubbles
