Gamelan

Gamelan, Jakarta - Indonesia

This is a set of instrument used in traditional Indonesian music, Gamelan. The small ones called Bonang Barung and the large ones behind them are known as Kenong. I love listening to gamelan music from the slow Javanese style to the more dynamic Balinese rythm. Each of the different instrument has its own unique character which creates a magical sound when played together.

    hi Santi,
I’m a relatively new visitor to your blog, but I’ve definitely waited with baited breath every day for your pictures. So when you disappeared for a few days I was really bummed. Is your child ok now?
Gotta say that your pics are terrific, and they take the edge off my homesickness somewhat. Keep ‘em coming, ok? :)

audrey: Ah, yes… it’s quite difficult to juggle the blog with real life! hehe… I am trying my best. My daughter’s recovering, thanks! And thank you for your continuous visit to JDP. Much appreciated! Glad I could help ease your homesickness :)
